Canberra Accord

Prior to became a signatory of the Canberra Accord in 2019, JABEEʼs accreditation system was recognized by the UNESCO-UIA form 2009 to 2014 as accrediting Architectural Education which meets the UNESCO-UIA Charter and its Validation System for Architectural Education. JABEE did not apply for the periodical review of UNESCO-UIA in 2013 but decided to shift from UNESCO-UIA to the Canberra Accord. JABEE applied for the provisional status in the Canberra Accord in 2013.

Canberra Accord

The Canberra Accord was established in 2008 as an international agreement among bodies responsible for accrediting architectural education programs which are operated in line with UNESCO-UIA Charter. JABEE’s application for signatory status in the Accord was approved and became a signatory in 2019.

UNESCO-UIA

JABEE's accreditation system was recognized by the UNESCO-UIA form 2009 to 2014 as accrediting Architectural Education which meets the UNESCO-UIA Charter and its Validation System for Architectural Education then transferred to join the Canberra Accord as a signatory.

From UNESCO-UIA to Canberra Accord

JABEE did not apply for the periodical review of UNESCO-UIA in 2013 but decided to shift from UNESCO-UIA to the Canberra Accord. JABEE applied for the provisional status in the Canberra Accord in 2013.
